Will Fithian

I am an assistant professor in the Berkeley Statistics Department. I received my PhD in statistics from Stanford in June 2015, advised by Trevor Hastie.

I am the head undergraduate faculty advisor in this school year. I am available for drop-in consulting Monday 2:30-3pm, or by appointment.

This semester (Spring 2018) I am teaching Statistics 28, Statistical Methods for Data Science. My office hours are Tuesday 2-3pm and Wednesday 11-12pm in Evans 301.

I am also organizing a reading group on modern causal inference in complex models, together with Alex D'Amour, Peng Ding, Avi Feller, and Sam Pimentel.
