There are several inexpensive places to grab a bite to eat close to the northside of campus. The restaurants on Euclid Avenue:
Restaurants at Northgate on Hearst Avenue (1/2 block east of Euclid): There are several small restaurants (Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai, and Top Dog) clustered around a sunny deck.
On campus the Free Speech Cafe next to Moffitt Library has good soups, salads, sandwiches, and an espresso bar.
