SIMS at Berkeley and its predecessor the Mills Summer Mathematics
Institute were six-week programs offering fast-paced, highly
stimulating seminars for talented undergraduate women.
These programs were designed to motivate and prepare participants to
enter and
complete successfully a Ph.D. program in the mathematical sciences.
From 1991 to 1997 over 150 undergraduate women participated in these
programs
We collect here information about these programs.
