Tools for TILE

When developing the inputs for a lab, it is important to be able to easily test them. For example dynamic text substitution used in numerous labs requires input that can contain complicated logical constructions. It is convenient to be able to see if this input is parsed correctly, if it evaluates as expected and to use it with different inputs. Similarly, it animations and plots must be viewed and tailored for inclusion in a lab. We can reduce the amount of time an instructor spends preparing these inputs by removing the need to interact with them within a lab. Instead, instead we use separate applications that can are tailored to take particular input formats and display the results. Some of these are interactive providing controls to manipulate the inputs dynamically and examining the results.
