StatDocs

What is StatDocs?
StatDocs is a project to design an electronic publishing system for creating statistics documents that are dynamic, interactive, and reproducible.

Why StatDocs?
The broad goal of the publishing system is to significantly improve the model for reporting statistical results by providing a consistent environment for authors to easily prepare, update and redo analyses and computational experiments, and to create an entire document containing the results from the analyses and experiments and the code that produced the results.

How will StatDocs be implemented?
The advances in information technology that have particular relevance to this project are the developments in the area of integration of software components, and in languages for creating documents, such as the eXtensible Markup Language (XML) and the eXtensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) and browsers for reading them.
