12 December 1997.: The finals have been graded. Grades should appear online over the weekend. Median was 43, mean was 46, SD was 13, minimum was 14, maximum was 75. 38 points will be added to everyone's scores (this will not be reflected in the posted scores, but will be reflected in the course grades). Course grades will be posted Tuesday night.
11 December 1997.: The final and solved final are available online. I expect to post final exam grades and course grades early next week.
25 November 1997.: The eleventh assignment is due at 11:59pm, Friday, 5 December 1997. The twelfth assignment is due at 11:59pm, Wednesday, 10 December 1997. An extra credit assignment (that is useful practice for the final) is due at 11:59pm, Wednesday, 10 December 1997.
11 November 1997.: The tenth assignment is due at 11:59pm, Wednesday, 19 November 1997. In response to a student suggestion, there will be a third grading option for the class: the average of the midterm and final, without the labs. Each student's grade is thus either the final by itself, the average of the midterm and the final, or the average of the labs, midterm, and final, whichever is highest.
29 October 1997.: The ninth assignment due date is postponed to 11:59pm, Friday, 7 November 1997.
24 October 1997.: The ninth assignment is due at 11:59pm, Tuesday, 4 November 1997.
21 October 1997.: The eigth assignment is due at 11:59pm, Tuesday, 28 October 1997.
2 October 1997.: The seventh assignment is due at 11:59pm, Monday, 20 October 1997.
1 October 1997: The sixth assignment is due at 11:59pm, 8 October 1997.
25 September 1997: My office hours will be different this coming Tuesday, 30 September: I will be available from 9:45-10:45. As alway, I am glad to schedule other times as needed; send me email if you want an appointment.; Lab 2 has not been regraded yet, and there was an error in the key to lab 4 as well; both are expected to be regraded by the end of next week. I expect to post extra credit by the end of next week as well.
23 September 1997: The fifth assignment is due at 11:59pm, 1 October 1997. WARNING: this lablet takes somewhat longer than the others have---start early! The grade query form now lets you look at the distribution of class scores, in addition to finding out your own scores.
17 September 1997: The fourth assignment is due at 11:59pm, 24 September 1997.
16 September 1997: Because of some browser/Java problems, some of the applets were not accessible between 4pm Monday and 8pm Tuesday. To compensate, the third assignment due date is postponed to 11:59pm, 18 September 1997. The applets should all be working properly now.
11 September 1997: The third assignment is due at 11:59pm, 17 September 1997. You can now get your lab scores online.
3 September 1997: The second assignment is due at 11:59pm, 10 September 1997.
28 August 1997: The first assignment due date is postponed until midnight, 3 September 1997, because of the holiday.
26 August 1997: The first assignment is due at midnight 1 September 1997.
