The data in the file vital.dat contains vital statistics for 17 regions in the state of California. The variables are
  1. The name of the region (a length 32 character variable)
  2. The population density (persons/square mile)
  3. Total population (in thousands)
  4. Net migration (in thousands)
  5. Non farm employment (in thousands)
  6. %Change from one year ago
  7. Unemployment Rate (%)
  8. Size of Labor Force (in thousands)
  9. %Change from one year ago
  10. Total Personal Income (in millions)
  11. %Change from one year ago
  12. Per Capita Income (in dollars)
  13. %Change from one year ago
  14. Median Household Income (in dollars)
  15. Annualized 10 Year % Change
  16. Median Home Price (thousands of dollars)
