SSI Data
The data in the file ssi.dat contains data
for some states in the US concerning the amount of SSI (State-administered Supplementary Income)
benefits paid to people in different categories.
For each state listed, the variables are
- Total number of people receiving benefits
- Number of aged people receiving benefits
- Number of blind people receiving benefits
- Number of disabled people receiving benefits
- Total benefits paid
- Benefits paid to aged people
- Benefits paid to blind people
- Benefits paid to disabled people
The numbers of people are as reported; the benefits are in thousands of dollars.
