has a number of stat
and ecology journals (as well as other fields): Annals of Statistics,
JASA, Stat. Science, Ecology/Apps/Monographs. Unfortunately, it's
IP-authenticated, so while generally available to academic users,
it's not for others, though it might be available through your public
library.
- Science Citation Index
allows you to find articles that have referenced another article,
i.e., searching forward in time, which can be extremely useful. It
is also a useful general index of scientific articles (the most detailed
general index of multiple disciplines that I have encountered. Use
is limited by IP of host.

supposedly searches gov docs as well
