Research Assistantships

The program includes research assistantships enabling undergraduates to work alongside faculty, graduate students, and postdocs. (Recipients must be US citizens or permanent residents.) Students are expected to work 5 or 10 hours per week, for which they will receive a stipend of $187.50 or $375 per month. At the end of the semester they will write research reports which will be published on this website. Student presentations of research projects will be made on Cal Day.

Seminar Series

The purpose of The VIGRE Seminar is to give students a view of possibilities that lie beyond undergraduate experience, including research areas and areas of application in academia, government, and the private sector. Speakers include faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and statisticians working for government and in the private sector.
