Syllabus: We will cover approximately the first seven chapters of the text, with some omissions. Material for the final exam: Sections 1.1, 1.2, 1.3; 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5; whole of Chapter 3; 4.1, 4.2, 4.3; geometric distribution from 4.4; 4.5, 4.7, 4.10; 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6; 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, 6.5, 6.6, 6.7, 6.12; 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, parts of 7.4.
