Prerequisites: Two years of calculus and one semester of linear algebra.

Grading: 70% on final, 30% on midterm.
Letter grade: Based on your performance in comparison to others (that is, "graded on the curve").

Syllabus: Probability spaces, random variables, distributions in probability and statistics, central limit theorem, characteristic functions, maximum likelihood estimation. If time permits, Markov chains, martingales, Poisson processes.
