Instructor: Sandrine Dudoit Description: This seminar course concerns the applications of statistics to problems in genetics and molecular biology. The course consists of two components. (1) A one-hour weekly seminar given by researchers working at the interface between the mathematical and biological sciences. (2) A weekly discussion section during which the seminar topics are introduced and related papers are presented and discussed. Topics will include, but are not limited to: genetic mapping; DNA microarray
experiments; computational gene finding; sequence alignment; protein structure
prediction.
