Miscellaneous graphics commands

• Controlling line/point size separately from axes
  1. >plot(x,y,type=n)
  2. >points(x,y,cex=.3)
• making a plot within a plot, use
  • >subplot()
• making legends
  1. >legend(locator(1), legend = c(h=0.7,h=2), lty = c(5,4))
  2. the next click of your mouse button will position the legend (that's what locator() does)

  You can also pass locational text to the first argument, such as
  >legend(x='topright',legend=c(h=0.7,h=2), lty = c(5,4))
