Maya Petersen

Maya Petersen is an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the University of California, Berkeley. She received an M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco in 2009 and a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Berkeley in 2007. Maya’s research interests include the treatment of HIV resistant to antiretroviral drugs and the use of antiretroviral therapy in the developing world. Methodologically, she is interested in dynamic treatment regimes (or individualized treatment rules) and the application of causal inference methods to observational
clinical data.
