Cathy Tuglus

Cathy Tuglus is a 2010 Ph.D. graduate in biostatistics from UC Berkeley. Prior to starting at UC Berkeley, she received her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a masters degree at Columbia University in Earth and Environmental Engineering where her thesis focused on the interaction of climate change and infectious disease over space and time. Her Ph.D. thesis research was on the development and application of semi-parametric variable importance methods in biological and epidemiological systems. She also was a member of the computational biology designated emphasis and had additional projects in data mining and spatial-temporal modeling. Cathy is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Divison of Biostatistics at the University of Southern California.
