--Collaborators: Steve Deeks (Positive Health Program, University of California, San Francisco), Jeff Martin (Positive Health Program, University of California, San Francisco), Art Reingold (Div. Epidemiology), and Maya Peterson (PhD student, Div. Epidemiology)

We are using marginal structural models to investigate the effects of antiretroviral treatment (ART) on HIV/AIDS progression. Objectives include estimation of the effect of ART on CD4 T-cell count changes in patients with incomplete virologic suppression, estimation of the direct and indirect effects of ART, and use of history-adjusted marginal structural models to detect time-varying effect modifiers of treatment effect.
