Overview
I am a graduate (phd) student in Biostatistics at UC Berkeley. My advisor is Sandrine Dudoit. I am also doing a designated emphasis in computational biology.
Research Interests
I am interested in computational biology, especially the analysis of high-throughput biological data. Currently I am involved in RNA-Seq using the Illumina platform, doing transcriptomics primarily in Drosophila and Cerevisiae.
I have also spent considerable time analyzing various custom microarrays, used for the study of alternative splicing as well as bacteria detection.
I am a contributor to the Bioconductor project.
Biography
I received my Master's degree in statistics from the University of Copenhagen in 2001. Following that, I worked approximately two years as a research assistent at the Department of Biostatistics, University of Copenhagen. From the summer 2004 I visited Sandrine Dudoit in Berkeley, where I later joined the graduate program. I plan to graduate August 2009.
