I am a postdoc in the Center of Theoretical and Evolutionary Genomics in Rasmus Nielsen's lab. Before that, I was a postdoc in the Department of Statistics funded by an NSF postdoctoral fellowship. From 2008-2009, I was a VIGRE Visiting Assistant Professor. My Ph.D work in Population Genetics was supervised by Rick Durrett and Carlos Bustamante in the Center for Applied Mathematics, at Cornell University . From Fall 2014, I will be an Assistant Professor at UC Merced in the School of Natural Sciences.

My current research interests involve detecting and characterizing natural selection in human populations, estimating human demographic histories and improving methods for the analysis of next generation sequencing data.
