The Committee on Probability and Statistics in the Physical Sciences is one of the standing committees of the Bernoulli Society for Mathematical Statistics and Probability which is in turn an autonomous section of the International Statistical Institute.
The Committee's Charge:
To assist the Bernoulli Society in nurturing research and education pertaining to probability
and statistics in the physical sciences and engineering.
The Committee's Work:
The Committee is particularly concerned with interdisciplinary communication.
The Committee organizes conferences and workshops from time to time and it is hoped that each Committee Member will make some effort in this direction, if only recruiting others to take the lead.

Special Announcement.
The Chairmanship of the Committee passed over toWojbor Woyczynski at the recent Barcellona meeting of the Bernoulli Society. Further, several months before that meeting the Society approved the request that the Officers of the Committee serve for 2 years rather than the previous 4.
