Basic exploration of the PWIT
-
Clicking on a vertex centers the window at that vertex
(in other words, re-roots the PWIT at the chosen vertex).
Angles between edges may change but this is an artifact of representing
the PWIT in two dimensions.
- The root is colored yellow; the previous root is colored pale yellow.
- Clicking away from a vertex makes the menu appear.
- zoom out and zoom in do what you think they do.
- By re-rooting many times you will reach the boundary of
the region of the PWIT being simulated.
reset returns to the original root whereas
step toward root moves one edge toward the original root.
-
The default
radius limited window shows vertices within a certain radius
(3 units, as default) from the root.
This radius can be changed by
zoom out/in.
Edges are shown only if both end-vertices are inside the window.
Clicking on
depth limited gives a different visualization of the same
realization,
showing a larger number of edges from each vertex regardless of whether
the other end-vertex is within the window.
Seeing the solutions of the combinatorial optimization problems
Checking one of (MST, MM, TSP) will show colored edges,
which form the solution of that problem on the current realization
of the PWIT.
