Committees

Graduate Assembly Liaison

This committee is responsible for maintaining SGSA representation in the Graduate Assembly. The Graduate Assembly is a major source fo funding for the SGSA and so proper representation is of great importance.

Welcoming Committee

This committee is responsible for activities related to welcoming new and prospective students.

Student Seminar

This committee is responsible for organizing the student seminar series. This includes inviting speakers, room reservations, procuring funding, and providing food and beverages.

Degrees of Freedom, Wiki, and Web

This committee is responsible for external communications of the SGSA.

1st Year Lunch

This committee is responsible for organizing the 1st year student lunch.

Fall Party

This committee is responsible for organizing the Fall Party. The past three years, the party has been held at the Albatross Pub.

Spring Picnic

This committee is responsible for organizing the annual Spring Picnic. The event is usually held at Cordonices Park in late-April.

T-Shirt

The SGSA holds an annual T-Shirt contest. Following the contest, we sell a t-shirt with the winning design to raise funds for SGSA sponsored events and activities. TODO: Past winning designs got lost in the web site transition, but we'll find them soon.
