Sherri Rose (PhD Student) Awarded Cox Scholarship 2010

Sherri Rose was awarded the 21st annual Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship at the Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) in Vancouver, Canada.
Sherri finished her M.A. in Biostatistics at UCB in 2007 and continued on to the Ph.D. program.
She is currently working on her dissertation with advisor, professor Mark van der Laan, which focuses on Targeted Maximum Likelihood Estimation (TMLE) causal inference methodology for case-control studies. |

The Gertrude M. Cox scholarship is awarded each year to encourage women pursuing a career in statistics. The 2010 award ceremony was held at the Joint Statistical Meeting in Vancouver Canada.
