The Chair's Unrestricted Fund supports production of this Newsletter and our graduate program brochure. It also covers some expenses for prospective graduate students (who are often the targets of aggressive recruiting by our competitors) to visit before deciding where to attend. Again, campus doesn't give us funds for these purposes.

The Neyman Fund supports the long-running Wednesday afternoon Neyman Seminar supply of refreshments beforehand, dinner for the speakers, and occasionally their travel expenses. The campus does not have funds for these purposes. It also supports recruitment expenses for the Neyman Visiting Assistant Professor position and modest expenses for this teaching visitor.
