Consulting Service-Spring 2012

The Department of Statistics operates a consulting service in which advanced graduate students, under faculty supervision, are available as consultants during specified hours in the fall and spring semesters. The service is associated with the course Statistics 272, which may be taken for credit.

You are encouraged to use this service for statistical advice at any stage of your research. You are especially encouraged to come in early in your research so that the consultants may be helpful at the design stage. While not required, we recommend that you help us give you more effective service by writing a short description (one paragraph to two pages) of your problem, and either bring it with you or, preferably, send it ahead of time to Prof. Yu Bin. Users are also encouraged to email an outline of their inquiry to one of the people who work at the time they intend to attend. Email addresses are listed below. 

Consulting is free to members of the campus community. For-profit organizations may be charged after the first hour. Some problems may be outside our scope; if so, we will not provide service beyond the initial consultation.
