KAG Graduate Student Travel Fund Application Process

Eligibility/Criteria

  • Must be a PhD student in Statistics
  • Normally a student would receive a travel grant once during the course of their studies.
  • Students may request funding up to $750 per trip. This is the maximum amount that will be reimbursed for travel, lodging and/or conference fees.
  • There are a limited number of awards given each year
  • Priority will be given in order of application

Application

To apply, please submit a brief statement to the Student Affairs Officer, lashana@berkeley.edu, with the following:

a) purpose of the trip and approximate budget
b) written endorsement of a faculty advisor (via email)

The request can be made to cover travel, lodging and conference/registration fees.

Reporting/Reimbursement

A short report on the purpose and benefit of the trip must be submitted to the Student Affairs Officer, lashana@berkeley.edu. Here are some examples. All original receipts for which reimbursement is being requested or for which direct payment was made by the University must be turned in within two weeks after completion of travel.
